About me

Photo from the article What? You want to know about me?

You've reached the website of Chris Williams, a nerdy engineer turned cynical newspaper journalist. I'm playfully sarcastic and a strong believer in the right to free speech and expression. I live in Essex in the UK although I grew up in Kent.

I survived my A levels, studied at Warwick University and graduated with a master's degree in electronic engineering. After many sleepless nights I decided this wasn't the career for me and landed a job as a newspaper reporter. I then became a sub-editor and I'm now an assistant production editor but still a hopeless geek.

During my undergraduate years I wrote and edited news for the weekly campus newspaper, the Warwick Boar. I also designed its award-winning website from scratch. In my free time I edited Drobe, a technology news website, until very recently. Nowadays, I spend time working, going out, sleeping and wondering what hobby I should start next. My blog briefly documents what I'm up to these days.
